The hotel itself was great for a three star, efficient check-in, helpful staff. Nice quiet room and comfortable bed. Small bathroom but that's not really a negative as the shower was excellent. Couldn't fault the breakfast, very good selection of hot and cold food. And parking (available on first-come, first-served basis), was an added bonus. Excellent location. Short walk into Blackheath, with plenty of cafes and restaurants (nb: Sunday farmer's market by the station is worth a visit). We were attending a show at the O2 and the bus stop was right outside the hotel, only a short 15-20 min journey right to the venue. We also walked to Greenwich, about a mile through the park and past the observatory. We will definitely stay at the hotel again. Thank you for a great stay!

We were in London to see a show at the O2 and picked this hotel for its convenience near to the arena, the bus stop was outside the hotel and the bus dropped you off literally at the O2 and the same back! The hotel itself was outstanding, the rooms were immaculately clean, the staff were first class and the food was excellent, we had stayed at the Holiday Inn near the O2 before and paid a fortune but found it dirty, unkempt and on complaining to the staff about the filthy bathroom which hadn't been cleaned they just werent bothered, the Clarendon on the other hand was exceptional! We paid £117 a night for the two of us whereas the Holiday Inn was £250, what idiots we were

Great hotel, especially for the money. Very friendly welcome and helpful staff. All very relaxed and easy, whilst also incredibly busy. Room was at the back of the hotel, overlooking trees (could just see the spikes of the Millennium Dome over the trees). Quiet, comfortable and not that stuffy, hermetically sealed feeling you get in modern hotels (if that's your thing, don't come here). When we opened the window, because it was a lovely day, it was birdsong and a breeze. It has character, and we like that. Nice dining room (spacious, historical and airy). AND we could park outside and walk everywhere down to the river and along from the hotel.

We requested a quiet room and were pleased with its location upstairs and at the back of the hotel. Our room was bright and comfortable, serviced daily (including making the bed, taking away the rubbish, and providing fresh towels). The hotel allowed guests to use their laundry (at a fee), but there were no clothes airers where we could leave clothes to dry if we didn't want to use a dryer. The hot and cold breakfast options were sufficient, and the wait staff were very accommodating. The hotel is just a five-minute walk from Blackheath Overground railway station.

Old fashioned hotel in Blackheath village, very close to train/bus, very convenient position for London visit. Family room was spacious, clean, beds were comfy. Some of the hotel equipment might need some refurbishment, but for the money value, it was a very good place. And the feeling of traditional accommodation was actually nice. Great place was the inner garden in front of the restaurant, cozy, calm place.
